LOL! I can't believe that I'm writing this but I was looking through some other blog and I came across this blogger, Shayla (I don't know what's her real name) and she uses her blog to solve relationship problems of others. This is her blog http://www.dearshayla.blogspot.com. Well, nothing special about it but there are some quotes that she made are agreeable and I found one this topic about "Love at first sight". This is not what I want to talk about..it's the image below of this post that caught my eyes. It's "Love Verses Lust". =)
How can you tell you are in love or you are in lust? =D It's never easy to answer this question, because I believe most of the time you yourself also not sure about it. What's LOVE? What's LUST? Hmmm...Confused? Let me give you a situation! XD
You first meet, and the sparks fly so high that you’re pretty sure you may have caught a couple clouds on fire and you cant go even a minute without thinking of them. Next, you go on checking your phone for missed calls or even messages! Then, you start fantasizing about the next time you will have with that person (That's what you call DATE!) Final stage..SEX! That's the moment you think you are having a great sex because at that moment all you want is that person and no one else! (That's when you claim you are sooooo in LOVE with him/her!) You just cant seem to get enough of them, and you are pretty sure you never felt this way about anyone, and even though it has only been a couple of weeks or even days, you just cant imagine yourself being with anyone else. So? LOVE or LUST? =D
Me? First impression.."Yeah right!!" (sarcastically) I bet the above situation happens few months once? LOL! And forget the guy you met two months ago which you also claimed you are deeply “fell in love with” at first sight and just knew he was the one back then. This is so LUST!! Get what I mean? Oh ya..PLEASE do not fall for the I love you that comes directly before or after sex. XD
Lust is clearly not love. For sure, attraction is a factor, but love goes deeper than that. Love is based on caring, friendship, commitment and trust. When you are in love it is as if you have your best most trusted friend at your side and you feel physically attracted to them. It is the best of both worlds! Love is not about jealousy. It is not about conflict. It is not about testing. Love is a positive feeling. If it is tainted by mistrust, jealousy, insecurity or spitefulness it is not really love but lust. Love is like you surrender your heart to another person by knowing they will treat it better than you will. Love should feel GOOD!!
See the difference? Spot it? I bet right now you are thinking deeply about your relationship. Right? Give it a second thought!! Is it LOVE or LUST? And do tell me about it! LOL~ *happy thinking* =D
